Among what they retrieved was his retweet of an article which criticised J. D. Vance’s position on the doctrine of ordo amoris—supposedly, a sign that Pope Leo was ‘on the left’.

International Conference on the Renewal of Catholic Political Thought

Between 9–11 March 2026, the Ludovika University of Public Service in Budapest, in partnership with Pázmány Péter Catholic University, will host the first international academic conference of Catholic POST – Association for the Renewal of Catholic Political and Social Thought. The event marks the public launch of a newly established academic community whose aim is to renew Catholic political and social thought.

The newly launched Association for the Renewal of Catholic Political and Social Thought (Catholic POST) organises this conference with the aim to provide a platform for philosophers, theologians, social and political scientists, and historians to exchange views about this body of Church doctrines, and through that, to further the research into political and social thought, with a Catholic background.
